Thirsty Thursdays: In All Things Praise God

"Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them.” 1 Corinthians 7:17.

We all have our own individual path to travel in life. None of our situations are identical. Regardless of our unique walk, as believers we all have to live our lives as an example, as children of God. Through all of our trials and tribulations we must continue to fight the good fight and live righteously. We will come across low points where it seems as if nothing is going right, nothing is going our way. Do not lose hope or give in, remain strong in the Lord and continue to believe in his word.  There will be high points, when we are blessed with success and it seems as if everything is going right and going our way. Do not get full of yourself, remain humble and realize it is all possible because of God. Acknowledge him; give him the praise and glory he deserves.

During the good times praise his name, in the bad times do the same. In all things praise God. Don’t let your circumstance or situation dictate your praise. They say it is easy to praise him when things are going well, but it is also easy to forget to praise him. You can get so caught up in your achievements you forget who blessed you with the ability and opportunity to achieve them. Some question why praise him when things aren’t going well, things are bad there’s nothing to be happy about. Simply put, all things work for the good of those who love God. He is more than able, put your trust in him and he will see you through. When troubled or doing great, continue to seek and give him the glory even when others around you may not. Be that flower of light in the field of darkness. Live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord assigned you to
