Saturday Sacrifice: Beautiful as Tirzah

Thou are beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah…” Song of Solomon 6:4
Tirzah, is not only mentioned in the Song of Solomon, but also in the reading for today in Numbers.
Tirzah, was one of the five daughters of Zelophehad. A man who died in the wilderness while the children of Israel sojourned to the land God promised them.
So, I did some research to find out more information about the name Tirzah.
This is what I found:
Tirzah-  described as a capital of the northern kingdom of Israel during the reigns of Baasha, Elah, Zimri and Omri (1 Kings 15:33, 1 Kings 16:8, 1 Kings 16:23). The archaeological site is a 180 dunam (0.18 km²) tell in the hills of Samaria, northeast of Shechem, in what is currently known as the West Bank; it has been identified with the Biblical Tirzah.

Tirzah (Hebrew: תרצה) is a Hebrew word meaning "she is my delight." In the Bible it is the name of a woman as I stated above.
In the Song of Solomon I’m not sure if he is comparing his love’s beauty to that of the capital Tirzah, or to the woman Tirzah. You can decide…
The reason I decided to write about Tirzah is because she and her sisters kind of reminded me of the story of the five foolish and five wise virgins. If you don’t know the story you can read it in Matthew 25. (^_^)
In Numbers, the five sisters Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah came before God, Moses, and the rest of Israel asking for their inheritance. “Why should our father’s name disappear from his clan because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s relatives.”

These daughters knew who they were and what their inheritance was. They were prepared to receive it, and they did. “So Moses brought their case before the Lord, and the Lord said to him, What Zelophehad's daughters are saying is right. You must certainly give them property as an inheritance among their faither's relatives and give their father's inheritance to them."
These sisters were like the five wise virgins in the sense that they knew they were heirs and that they were prepared and ready to receive their inheritance. When you receive God’s spirit you automatically become heirs of Jesus Christ, and have rights to the inheritance. In the bible it says, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." Romans 8:17
What is the great inheritance?...HEAVEN!! (^_^)
However, we have to be prepared and ready to receive the inheritance. We need to be like Tirzah. beautiful and pleasing to GOD’S delight.

Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the

earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with

power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they

will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other”. Matthew 24:30

Stay in God’s peace, not in pieces =)
