God has done so much for each and everyone of us. Some
things we acknowledge, some we don’t. Some of the wonderful things God has done
we take for granted, others we take on the “what have you done for me lately”
mentality that plagues our society. We forget about past miracles and
deliverances. We complain about our current situation
as if God was never there for us. The going gets tough and we
forget all that we say we believe, all the past blessings, and begin to get
frustrated, flustered and even angry with God. Instead of this
negative attitude, we need to learn to praise him at all times, worship him,
trust him and thank him. In our Happy
moments PRAISE GOD, in our difficult moments SEEK GOD, in our painful moments
TRUST GOD and in EVERY moment THANK GOD.
“4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a
lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said who shall give us
flesh to eat? 5 we remember the fish which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers
and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlick: 6 but now our soul
is dried away : there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes”
Numbers 11:4-6. Here we see the Israelites complaining about not having meat to
eat and they were upset with God. How quickly they forget, God had parted
the Red Sea and allowed them to escape to freedom; for in Egypt they were
slaves.
