The glory of God is magnificent.
His power, his presence, and his love is immeasurable. For us human beings
bound by limitations, it can be hard to understand and truly grasp the concept
that "Nada es imposible con Dios "(NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE with God). This is where
faith comes in. That good ol Now Faith, “Now faith is
the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”
Hebrews 11:1. It’s the now faith that truly allows God’s miracles to be
present
in our lives. Believing although we can't see it. Faith doesn’t make
sense, it's not something that can be proven scientifically, mathematically, or logically. It isn't a feeling, but a belief that what God said, will be. It
shouldn’t be possible, but it is! In Luke chapter 10, the Lord
appointed 72 men and sent
them out to do his will. He provided them with certain instructions in
which
they should follow. “5.When you enter a house, first
say, peace to this house. 6 If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace
will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay there, eating and
drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. 8
When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. 9 Heal the
sick who are there and tell them “The kingdom of God has come near to you.”
These faithful individuals were able to heal the sick as Jesus did. “The seventy-two returned with joy and said, Lord even the
demons submit to us in your name.” Luke 10:17. Here the disciples
moved by blind faith believing and obeying what the Lord had said, and
it worked! We to should believe and obey.
God has a plan for our lives, we
may not see it, understand it, or feel that it is possible, but he has a plan for each
of us. Ironically, I had a discussion
about this the other night. Often in life we
do what we want, thinking it’ll get us to where we should be. We concentrate on
reaching a point metaphorically speaking 100 yards away. We focus so much time
and effort trying to get there, allowing ourselves to believe in the "progress", that we lose sight of God's plan for us.
God could be calling us to just go 10yards HIS WAY. If we would go HIS WAY,
he’ll
take us a million yards further then we ever imagined or dreamed
possible. Instead, we do it our way and struggle to even get 2 yards. When Abram and Sarai took it upon themselves to have a child,
(talk about DRAMA!!), they learned the hard way to trust God's way and not do their own thing.
In Genesis chapter
17 we see God's plan for Abram. Abram's success was contingent upon following God's direction. “1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and
said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. 2 then I
will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your
numbers.” God went on to tell Abram he will no longer be called Abram but Abraham, he will become the father of many nations, he will be very fruitful and that Kings will come from him. At
Abraham's and Sarai's old age you would think there was no way they
could have a child, however they did. When we are faced with what seems
to be impossible lets not look at the situation with our carnal eyes,
but remember that with God all things are
possible.

ReplyDeleteTrust in lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding
Awesome word. Love the part about faith not being something that makes sense and also how God wants to take us further than we want to take ourselves.
ReplyDeleteI like that part about trusting God's way and not your own way. Your way will get you no where lol. I can relate to the point you made how we need to believe and be obediant. Great word!!
ReplyDeleteVery true Ron! If we do it God's way no matter how long it takes, it will always work out better...
